Biography
Mr Chan Soon Hua has had extensive industrial experience as an external auditor for 15 years – in EY (Malaysia) from 16 May 1991 to 30 June 1996, and in Deloitte (Brunei Darussalam) from 1 July 1996 to 20 January 2006 – prior to joining Swinburne on 13 February 2006.
He has audited a wide variety of clients ranging from trading, manufacturing, construction and engineering to financial institutions and other service industries. He has also provided services to clients in other areas such as accounting, taxation and management consulting.
He is also a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant, who actively engages in continuing professional development (CPD) which allows him to keep abreast of industry development and ensure that his students benefit from teaching that remains current.
