Dr. Cynthia Kon is a mathematician whose research interest is in the computational modeling of dynamical systems. Her research focuses on modeling the spread of infectious diseases. Her PhD dissertation topic was on formulating a generic model for transmission of mosquito-borne diseases based on reaction-diffusion equations. She received her BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from Universiti Sains Malaysia, MSc in Computational Science and PhD in Computer Science from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. Dr. Kon has extensive teaching experience in Mathematical undergraduate studies. She currently teaches Engineering Mathematics at Swinburne University of Technology (Sarawak).
