at Swinburne Sarawak
Swinburne Sarawak is developing its research profile strategically and with a clear focus on the strong track record of applied and industry relevant research and development (R&D) of Swinburne University of Technology (SUT), Melbourne that characterizes its lineage. It will gain leverage from its strong international connections, excellent communications infrastructure and the opportunities for cooperative, international research and development presented by those circumstances. It takes particular cognizance of the fact that the Malaysian federal government and Sarawak state government wish to see strong, local developments in information technology and has developed its educational and training programme profile in line with those wishes. Its research profile will be similarly respectful of the need to develop strategically in the area of information technology.
