Swinburne Innovation Precinct
Prof Sally McArthur, Director of the Swinburne Innovation Precinct (SIP) and Prof Jack Singh, Director of Digital Innovation Lab will be on campus tomorrow (5/4/17) until Friday.
Sally is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at FSET and has recently been appointed to the Office of the Chief Executive Science Leader at CSIRO – Australian federal government agency for scientific research.
Swinburne Melbourne launched the Swinburne Innovation Precinct in March 2016. The precinct brings together entrepreneurial, business development and commercialization activities from around the University. It provides advance design, digital and manufacturing support through the Design Factory, Digital Innovation Lab and Factory of the Future. A business incubator/accelerator program has been launched as well.
Sally is here this week to share with us what SIP is really about, how we in Sarawak can be part of SIP (through the Innovation Fellow program perhaps) and use SIP to translate our research to real impact.
Jack is a speaker at the IDECS conference and will also be there to explore collaborations.
