Biography

Dr. Tee Keng Kok obtained his PhD in Management Communication from the University of Waikato, New Zealand. Apart from being a lecturer, he is also a Certified Professional Trainer. Dr Tee is passionate about promoting leadership capacity, collaboration, and inclusivity. He is involved in facilitating and empowering young scientist leaders today at the APEC and ASEAN regions since 2016. He also worked alongside the UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), UK Research & Innovation (UKRI), the Canadian International Development and Research Centre (IDRC), the Belmont Forum, among others, as one of the key facilitators. Dr Tee was also involved in developing leadership modules for the Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT) of Malaysia.

Writing cases is one of Dr Tee’s fortes. He published numerous case studies in reputable journals and obtained several awards for case writing competitions. Dr Tee was commissioned to write for PETRONAS, the Asian Institute of Finance (AIF), Pearson International; and The Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT) of Malaysia. Apart from that, Oxford University Publishing (UK) also assigned Dr Tee with the task of updating cases. He is currently the Associate Editor and case reviewer for a few national and international case journals including the Emerald Emerging Market Cases (EEMC). He was appointed as one of the grant assessors for the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, as well as the case writing facilitator for the Malaysian Development Bank, and the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

He currently serves as a Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) panel assessor and as a peer review team chair and member for ABEST 21, an international accreditation agency based in Japan. With a keen interest in sustainability, he was also appointed as an adjudicator for the National Corporate Reporting Awards (NACRA) as well as the Sarawak Chambers of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Malaysia Annual Corporate Report Awards (ACRA).

Having students close to his heart, Dr Tee coached them in international Business Competitions where they won awards consistently. Practicing Human Governance, Dr Tee is passionate about realizing his student’s true potential by engaging education in a holistic, impactful and meaningful way.
