Biography

Dr Gabriel Wee is an award-winning lecturer in Entrepreneurship with the Faculty of Business, Design and Arts. He has orchestrated a myriad of relevant activities aimed at instilling an entrepreneurial mindset among students. These initiatives range from workshops, seminars, to startup boot camps, all designed to equip students with essential skills and inspire innovative thinking.

Dr. Gabriel has a strong track record of preparing teams that have outperformed in numerous entrepreneurship-related competitions. Under his supervision, these teams have consistently showcased impressive creativity, business acumen, and resilience.

Moreover, his influence extends to fostering tangible business ventures within Swinburne. With his insight, support, and connections, several student-led startups have seen their inception within and beyond the university. These startups are not just academic projects, but real-world businesses that contribute to the economy and create job opportunities.

His expertise extends beyond the academic. As an advisor and independent director in various enterprises spanning the business consulting, agritech R&D, and manufacturing and retail industries, he brings valuable practical experience and insight into his teaching methodology.

Dr. Gabriel is acknowledged for his leadership, serving key roles in numerous committees. His commitment to community engagement is reflected in his successful acquisition and execution of projects worth more than RM1 million, fostering impactful and transformative change. With credentials as a Certified Google Analytics Professional and Certified HRDF Trainer, he has designed and executed insightful training modules to aid managers, executives, and business owners throughout Malaysia in navigating the digital landscape.

His portfolio, a testament to his influence and innovative approach, serves to inspire and empower the next generation of business leaders. Under his mentorship, students are encouraged to challenge conventional norms, drive societal progress, and make a global impact.
