Opportunities Available: Postgraduate Vacancies for PhD

We’re seeking a dynamic and motivated student for an exciting 3-year PhD project focused on revolutionizing clean energy production through advanced catalyst design. This research aims to develop High Entropy Oxide (HEO) catalysts for the Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) in water electrolyzers, a critical technology for converting renewable electricity into green hydrogen. OER is the rate-limiting step in electrocatalytic water splitting, and HEOs offer a promising avenue for creating cost-effective, efficient catalysts to overcome this challenge. The project has a 100% tuition fee waiver, competitive stipend, conference attendance funding, and discretionary research funds. We’re seeking candidates with a Masters by Research or First Class Honours degree in Chemical/Electrical/Environmental/Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science, with a minimum CGPA of 3.33. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of sustainable energy research and significantly impact clean hydrogen production technology. Join our team and help shape the future of renewable energy! Please send your CV to Prof. Jaka Sunarso and Dr. JJ Chew (jsunarso@swinburne.edu.my and jchew@swinburne.edu.my)
