Biography

Dr. Changi Wong received his Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology in 2012, his Master of Science in Biotechnology in 2015, and his Doctor of Philosophy in Biology in 2021 at Swinburne Sarawak. His academic research has been centred on the tropical pitcher plant (Nepenthaceae), including its associated endophytes, bioactive metabolites, and eco-metabolomic dynamics. Upon completing his PhD, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow and part-time lecturer at the same university, with research focused on environmental biogeochemistry and microplastic pollution.

In addition to academic work, he is also a photographer who specializes in macro photography.

He joined Swinburne Sarawak as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering, Computing, and Science in January 2025.
