Ensure construction projects are managed on time and to budget with the Master of Construction Management Practice. This course will prepare you for professional roles in managing people, equipment, materials, and projects in building construction and civil infrastructure works. Our syllabus covers advanced management and engineering approaches, as well as the innovative tools, including software, needed to manage construction projects.

Course structure and duration
The duration of study is 1 year full-time. Students will undergo two long semesters of 12 weeks. Classes are normally held on weeknights and/or weekends.
To qualify for the award of Master of Construction Management Practice students must complete 7 units (100 credit points) comprising:
- One (1) unit carries 25 credit points, and
- Six (6) units carry 12.5 credit points.

Entry Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate; or
- A bachelor's degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.
- Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the HEP and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (ii).
English Requirements
English Language proficiency consistent with Swinburne policies for admission of local and international students to postgraduate courses as outlined below:
- Obtain a minimum of IELTS overall band of 6.5 with no individual band below 6.0, or TOEFL (paper-based) minimum score of 5500 (with Test of Written English score of 5), or TOEFL (internet-based) minimum score of 79 with no individual band below 18
- Successfully complete a first degree with English as the medium of instruction
