Swinburne’s Diploma of Quantity Surveying aims to provide graduates with a broad range of introductory surveying knowledge and skills. The course delivers a strong foundation that creates articulate and reflective problem solvers who are aware of a wide variety of tasks involved in the life cycle of a construction project.
The Diploma of Quantity Surveying graduates may find positions in the construction industry, such as construction managers, cost managers/quantity surveyors, project procurement manager and contract administrators as well as advisers on development economics and contractual matters.

To qualify for the Diploma of Quantity Surveying, student must complete 300 credit points comprising:
Compulsory units
Management specialisation units
Non-credit units
