After graduating from Maktab Perguruan Durian Daun Melaka in 1986, Noorazah taught for ten years in Sarawak before leaving for the United States to follow her husband doing his Master’s degree and doctorate. While there, she managed to secure a scholarship from Sarawak Shell to do her graduate degree at Syracuse University (SU) in New York. After graduating with a Master in Information Management, she secured another scholarship from SU a year later to do her second Master in Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation (IDDE).
During her time at SU, Noorazah was also engaged as a research assistant and teaching assistant, and had the opportunity to work with experienced researchers and distinguished lecturers on diverse and interesting projects. She returned to Sarawak in 2005 and joined Swinburne in 2010. She hopes that her experiences teaching and learning abroad can prove useful and be utilized for her tenure at Swinburne.
