Swinburne Sarawak receives award of appreciation from PETRONAS

KUCHING – Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus was recently invited to the PETRONAS-Academia Collaboration Dialogue 2023 Appreciation Day held at Putrajaya Marriott Hotel, where the university received an award of appreciation.

On behalf of Swinburne Sarawak, Swinburne Innovation Malaysia Sdn Bhd (SWIM) Chief Executive Officer Professor Wallace Wong Shung Hui received the award of appreciation from Mr Aidil Shabudin, Senior General Manager, Resource Development and Management, Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM) PETRONAS, and Mr Mohamed Firouz Asnan, Senior Vice President, MPM PETRONAS.

The university strives to apply its expertise in solving global problems and does this by actively collaborating with the leading global industry.

Under its renewable energy and circular economy research, Swinburne Sarawak investigates the conversion of waste biomass to hydrogen or fuel as well as the integration of biomass or hydrogen production to various industries such as the heavy, chemical and automotive industries.
