Biosafety is emerging as a fundamental part of research in the sciences, and Swinburne Sarawak is dedicated to ensuring the safety of its staff, students and the local community by establishing an institutional biosafety committee. This newly-formed committee is responsible for regulating the appropriate use of any potentially harmful biological agents.
In addition to the formation of this new committee, Ms. Jia Ni Chua has been appointed as Swinburne Sarawak’s biosafety officer. This is to ensure that Swinburne Sarawak will continue to provide a safe working environment for its researchers and staff.
