Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Science together with SUTS IChemE Student Chapter organised a virtual tour to Yakult Factory on 22 December 2020 (Tuesday) 10:00 – 11:00am through Microsoft Teams. The virtual tour was led by Ms Fatahiyah Mohd Nor, PR & Science Leader from Public Relations & Science Department of Yakult (M) Sdn Bhd. The virtual tour was attended by approximately 30 Swinburne University students from various programmes, such as Chemical, Mechanical, R&M, E&E and Civil Engineering including 3 academic staff from School of Chemical Engineering and Science.
The tour begins with brief introduction of company background, product briefing and interactive quiz session. Participants interacted actively with the Yakult staff and engaged throughout the whole session. The tour is followed by displaying the video of how Yakult process and produce their famous product of Yakult Ace and Yakult Ace Light at Oakland Industrial Park, Seremban (near Seremban 2). Participants had the chance to take a close look on how the Japanese high technology machinery used to produce great quality, beneficial and tasty Yakult cultured milk drink. Also, the stringent process of making Yakult and how to produce every bottle of Yakult quick and clean.
The tour is ended with presenting the certificate of appreciation to Yakult (M) Sdn Bhd. It is a fruitful virtual tour to Yakult factory.
