Swinburne x foodpanda: First-ever collaboration with an education institution

KUCHING – foodpanda Malaysia has partnered with Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus in its first-ever collaboration with an education institution in Malaysia.

Established in 2012, foodpanda is currently the largest food and grocery delivery platform in Asia, outside of China, operating in 12 markets across Asia.

Through this collaboration, students and staff of Swinburne Sarawak can now enjoy complimentary pandapro membership for a year. pandapro is foodpanda’s subscription programme that offers exclusive deals, discounts and benefits on food and groceries.

pandapro perks include free delivery on orders above RM25 for 30 orders per month, 15% off and up for selected restaurants, extra 5% off on pick-up orders at participating restaurants, 20% off pandamart on orders above RM45 with two vouchers per month and dine-in offers at participating restaurants.

At Swinburne Sarawak, students are encouraged to immerse themselves in the university’s dynamic campus life as well as to make the most of the student experience and the multitude of opportunities available. This Swinburne x foodpanda collaboration offers yet another benefit to Swinburne Sarawak students, providing them with convenience and savings at their fingertips.

“We at foodpanda aim to provide convenience to every Malaysian and this, of course, includes students. We understand that students are usually occupied with back-to-back classes and assignments, hence, the functionality of foodpanda as a Q-Commerce platform to meet their most basic needs with just a tap on the phone,” said Bernard Chong, Director of Marketing, foodpanda Malaysia.

“With this collaboration, we hope that the students and staff at Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus will enjoy the benefits and practicality of our exclusive pandapro subscription, which includes free deliveries and exclusive discounts across the services we provide on the platform.

“We hope that with this, students can focus on their studies and leave the rest to foodpanda! Be it food, shops or groceries, we’ve got it all covered,” he said.

Rajeswary Sogamaur, Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment, Swinburne Sarawak, said, “This cross-industry collaboration between Swinburne Sarawak and foodpanda allows us to bring more benefits to our staff and students, whereby our students can benefit not only from an academic perspective but also in terms of campus experience and lifestyle.

“I hope that this collaboration will spur many more partnerships with various industry players; within the food and beverage sector and others,” she said.

To sign up for this exclusively free one-year pandapro membership, Swinburne Sarawak students and staff can visit the foodpanda booth located at the university’s Block A Lobby until the end of November.
