The Centre for Innovative Society (CIS) at Swinburne Sarawak envisions itself to be a pioneer in social innovation, harnessing the power of technology and interdisciplinary collaboration to address societal challenges in Sarawak and beyond.

CIS will serve as a hub to bring together researchers, innovators, industry leaders and the community. This will be achieved through strategic partnerships with local communities, industry players, government agencies, NGOs, and research institutions, both locally and abroad.

Technologies being developed are in the fields of:

• Heritage Preservation
• Renewable Energy
• Waste Reutilisation
