You can view your timetable via CANVAS announcement when it’s available. The timetable is published in 2 formats:
(i). By Date
(ii). By Unit
For help on viewing your individual timetable, please see our Student Guides > Student Portal Full Guide.
The Provisional timetable is published for students to report on examination clashes (if any) and is subject to frequent changes. Therefore, it is advisable that students do not make travel arrangements based on the Provisional Timetable.
The Final timetable is confirmed and shows complete details of an exam including the venue.

Important:
All students must be available for examinations during the entire examination period. The examination period is designed to include provision for re-scheduling of examinations which were cancelled, interrupted or ceased due to unforeseeable circumstances.
We will not entertain any changes other than clashes, such as matters of personal convenience, i.e. holidays, work commitments, flights, etc.
Swinburne may schedule you to sit two exams in a 24-hour period. This is not a mistake and not defined as an exam timetable clash.
Misreading of Exam Timetable will NOT be entertained for further Special Consideration application.
Sometimes exams information may appear to be missing, incomplete or incorrect. Here’s what you need to do if you notice there’s a timetable clash or error.
What is an exam timetable clash?
An exam timetable clash is when two or more of your exams occur at exactly the same time.
This is a serious issue that could negatively affect your studies. It needs to be addressed as soon as you identify it.
Please note that sitting two exams within a 24-hour period is not considered a clash. Example, if you have an examination in the morning and in the afternoon, this is NOT considered as a timetable clash.
What to do if you identify a clash
Please contact through SE Servicedesk (choose “Examination” category) if a clash has arisen with your scheduled exams timetable; within specific timeframe (before final timetable released).
Swinburne will investigate your issue and notify you of an outcome.
Exam missing from your timetable
If you think you have an exam but it's not listed on your timetable (and the exam timetable has already been published) you must first check your unit guide via Canvas, or contact your lecturer/unit convenor to find out if a formal examination is part of your assessment.
If, after having done this, you discover that a formal examination is part of your assessment, please contact through SE Servicedesk to check the exam’s status.
Exam appearing on your timetable that shouldn’t
If an exam is appearing on your timetable for a unit that you are not enrolled in, or you experience any other exam timetable errors, please report this and contact through SE Servicedesk immediately.
Special Needs students registered with Student Development and Counselling will have their examination on the same date of the published examination scheduled. A personalised timetable, including all your alternative assessment arrangements, will be sent to your Swinburne student email address. Please make sure you are familiar with this before the exam.
If you have not contacted Student Development and Counselling at least six weeks before your exam, there may not be time to put your arrangements in place.
